Join us for our 3rd Annual MattaTrek Challenge! Venture forth with Director Bob Burns as he hikes the Litchfield Hills, or join us on Saturday, May 10th on our final 5k hike at the White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield! Friday, May 9 Through-hike begins at the Cornwall Bridge following the Mohawk Trail for 23.5 miles to Housatonic Valley Regional High School. The MattaTrek is rain or shine! * Hikers do so at their own risk and pace.

On Thin Ice: Alaska’s Warming Wilderness transports visitors to the Arctic to confront the startling impacts of climate change. Remarkable animals from the Bruce’s natural history collections are paired with scale landscape models that showcase Alaska’s diverse ecosystem. The installation highlights both subtle and dramatic shifts occurring across the Alaskan landscape, bringing attention to the impact of rising temperatures.
