Ambassador Birds will come out of the aviaries to share their beauty and stories of survival. Audiences get to meet two daytime hunters and two night-time hunters. DESCRIPTION:Join us at 12 noon in the DiMenna Nyselius Library Auditorium on the campus of Fairfield University on Wednesday\, September 25 for a light-hearted adventure through political cartoons with illustrator Sean Kelly! \nSean Kelly is an award-winning illustrator and art director. He has produced thousands of illustrations for publications such as The Washington Post\, The Wall Street Journal\, Businessweek\, Rolling Stone and The Atlantic\, and his political commentary has appeared on the op-ed page of The New York Times. He recently designed and illustrated the book\, Steven Colbert’s Midnight Confessions for Simon & Schuster.Sean has received honors from the Society of Illustrators\, American Illustration and the Society of Publication Designers\, and in 2008 the National Cartoonists Society gave him the award for Best Illustrator.\nA graduate of Brown University who also studied at Rhode Island School of Design\, Sean was a USC Annenberg/Getty Arts Journalism Fellow in 2012 and his Creativity Seminar has been presented at universities\, corporations and the Columbia Journalism School. \n(Image: With apologies to James Montgomery Flagg)
