Venture forth with Director Bob Burns as he hikes the Litchfield Hills, or join us on Saturday, May 10th on our final 5k hike at the White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield! 5K family-friendly hike beginning in White Memorial Conservation Center through the picturesque nature preserve and ending at the nearby Litchfield Distillery. Remarkable animals from the Bruce’s natural history collections are paired with scale landscape models that showcase Alaska’s diverse ecosystem. The installation highlights both subtle and dramatic shifts occurring across the Alaskan landscape, bringing attention to the impact of rising temperatures.

Open to all levels of experience, this workshop with instructor Sarah Paolucci offers an in-depth exploration of oil painting techniques and traditional still life. Develop foundational painting skills, including glazing and layering oil paints to create luminosity and depth.
