For 25 years, CCP has held a fundraising event called Monothon. This “Marathon of Monotype Printmaking” is a unique form of fundraiser established in 1986 by Santa Fe artist, educator, and printer Ron Pokrasso. Our founder, Grace Ross Shanley adapted the fundraiser for our community, and it is now the longest continually running Monothon in the world.

In recognition of the silver anniversary of CCP’s Monothon and the many artists, printmakers, and community members who have taken part during these years, our 2024 Fall exhibition brings together prints created during past years’ Monothons as well as new prints by artists who have been longtime participants of this event. Wall panels, video, and photographs accompany the artwork to explain how this event comes together and how monotype prints are made. Not only is Monothon our largest fundraising event of the year, it has also proven to be an excellent bridge helping us to celebrate printmaking and the arts in our community.
