Amphibian Amble-FULL

On one of our favorite nights of the year, we’ll head up to the vernal pools to see if we can catch “salamander rain”— the evening when salamanders emerge from their winter sleep to begin to lay eggs. Using nets, we’ll scoop for amphibians and invertebrates, and learn what makes a vernal pool such a special habitat. Each adult and child participant requires a ticket. Limited to 16 participants. Bruce Beginnings: Do you See a Duck?

Do you See a Duck? – Children and their caregivers will learn about ducks through Storytime, hands-on activities, and a craft. Children, ages 2.5-5, and their caregivers are encouraged to explore the museum’s collections and exhibitions through picture books and hands-on activities. Topics will rotate between art and science. This program is free with general admission, but space is limited. See the Visitor Service desk upon arrival to the Museum.
