About the Speaker
Steven Holmes is a Canadian born artist and curator currently living and working in CT as the curator of the Cartin Collection. Since 2005, he has overseen the collection of 2,000 works in various media – from illuminated manuscripts to master prints, and an extensive body of twentieth- and twenty-first-century art.

Holmes’ curatorial experience also includes overseeing the development of The Bass Museum of Art’s collection policy and collection process, and curation of exhibitions in galleries and museums across the US and internationally. He has also been an editor of a number of publications as well as a published writer in areas of critical theory and art criticism.
