An Interactive Celebration and Demonstration of All Things Fiber! While our sheep are being shorn, Hill-Stead Museum will welcome fiber artists and vendors demonstrating skirting, carding, spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, felting, and more. There will be free hayrides to and from the barns, food vendors, and craft activities. American Mural Project Extends Its Family-Day Programming To Weekends throughout September

The American Mural Project (AMP) has extended its Family Day programming to weekends through September 29. Families can now participate in art activities any time during open hours. All art activities are included with admission. This month’s activities include Making Art with Fire: Fire Tiles and making Fire Prevention posters. Fourth and fifth graders can enter their posters in the statewide CT Fire Prevention Poster Recognition Program.  For more information: https://www.americanmuralproject.org/family-days

3D Sculptures – Create 3D sculptures inspired by Tara Donovan’s work! Art Adventures is a drop-in program designed for children aged 4 and up and their families. This program is free with general admission and no advanced registration is required.
