Creativity Café: Paint to the Music at the Mattatuck Museum

Create your own inspired artwork as you paint to the music during this four-week class with artist Amber Maida. Use music as an inspiration and source of creative energy as you draw, paint or work in mixed media during this series of classes. A demonstration will be provided before you begin your own artistic journey.

Each class will start with a short meditation and lesson in using music to guide your art-making. Music will play while your unique artworks unfold – whether subjective, symbolic or abstract, the path is yours to choose and explore.

Instructor Amber Maida is a practicing artist and former winner of MIXMASTER, The MATT’s Annual Juried Members Exhibition. Her artwork is created in multiple mediums, always keeping in mind her connection to the earth and its energy. Amber regularly teaches workshops to both adults and children at the Museum.
