Take a day trip with us to discover Hill-Stead Museum, the 1901 Colonial Revival-style house designed by pioneering female architect Theodate Pope Riddle, and home to a magnificent collection of Impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Degas, Manet, Whistler and Cassatt; captivating Japanese woodblock prints; and superb decorative arts, all in an intimate setting.
A chartered bus will take us from the Stamford Museum & Nature Center to Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT, where we will enjoy a docent-led 90 minute private group tour of the house, gardens, and grounds. A must-see for garden lovers and architecture enthusiasts! Transportation, admission, tour, your choice of artisanal boxed lunch by Marcia Selden Catering, and beverages (water, iced tea, and wine) are included. Space is limited.

Austrian-born Trude Fleischmann (1895-1990) was one of the most accomplished female photographers of the 20th century. After great success in Vienna in the 20s photographing artists, models, and performers, she fled the Anschluss in 1938, first to Paris and then New York.
