Join our Visitors Services Manager and expert birder Brian O’Toole on a fall walk to explore this great local birding area. Quality meadow habitats are declining in our area, so the Park’s great meadows attract species that can be harder to find elsewhere in Stamford. We’ll hopefully catch some migrating raptors overhead, look for fall songbirds passing through the area, and identify other resident groups like corvids and woodpeckers. October brings bluebirds, bobolinks, sparrows and Eastern Meadowlarks in the grasses, with kestrels, harriers and even Bald Eagles overhead! Some binoculars will be available to borrow, but please bring your own if you can! We’ll meet in front of the Park’s tennis court.
Meet in front of the tennis court. Limited to 15 participants.
