about

Families are invited to the Bruce Museum on Saturday, July 19, for our first outdoor summer Family Day, featuring fun and interactive programming from 11am–4pm!

This year’s theme is sustainability, and we’ll be exploring creative ways to care for the planet through hands-on activities, nature-based learning, and community connections.

We will get crafty with paper tube binoculars, make seed balls from recycled paper, and contribute to a communal weaving project inspired by artist Jeremy Frey, whose work is currently on view in the museum’s galleries. Families can also test their eco-knowledge with a recycling sorting game, enjoy free outdoor chalk drawing, and then join the Greenwich Audubon Center for a family friendly bird walk – the perfect opportunity to test out those handmade binoculars!

While you’re here, cool off with a frozen fruit drink from Tutti Mango, parked outside the museum all afternoon.

In the event of inclement weather, all activities will be moved indoors.
