Join us for a Forum on the Worldwide Refugee Crisis comprised of two panels in the Dogwood Room of the Barone Campus Center on Tuesday, November 13 from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Panel 1: The Syrian Refugee Crisis and the Impact of Politics on Humanitarian Action

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Silvia Marsans-Sakly, Assistant Professor of History at Fairfield University
  • Charles MacCormack, former President of Save the Children
  • Firas Kayal, UNHCR Sr. Policy Adviser
  • Artist Mohamad Hafez

Panel 2: The Global Refugee Crisis and the Definition of “Refugee” – Refugees and Cultural Integration

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Alfred Babo
  • Dr. Terry Ann Jones
  • Claudia Connor, JD, President and CEO, CIRI (Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants)

Parking is available in the Kelley Parking Garage. If you enter campus through the gates at 1073 North Benson Road, the parking garage will be on the right before you reach the traffic circle. Barone Campus Center is next to the gym across the street from the parking garage.
Parking is also available in front of Bellarmine Hall.
