FriendzWorldMusic is an award-winning collective of musicians, composers, entertainers and educators, originating from diverse corners of the globe. Their mission is to honor and celebrate the legacy of their ancestors by imparting education through music, dance, song and storytelling from the African Diaspora. With a lifetime of professional experiences, they specialize in an array of musical and dance styles including West African, Afro-Caribbean, calypso, jazz, hip-hop, fusions and more. Their vibrant and captivating live performances allow audiences to experience the explosive power of music, drumming and dance.
FriendzWorldMusic  was the First Place Semi-Finalist at the 2022 Hartford’s Got Talent showcase and has performed at the Wadsworth Antheneum, World Hunger Project, School of the Deaf’s Kwanzaa celebrations, and for the Hartford Foundation’s Greater Together and Connecticare’s Annual Convention
In the tradition of Juneteenth, bring a picnic, blankets and chairs so you can sit back and enjoy the energetic music of FriendZWorldMusic on the West Lawn on Friday, June 20 from 6:00-7:30pm.
Admission is FREE! Registration requested.

American Mural Project Extends Its Family-Day Programming To Weekends throughout September

The American Mural Project (AMP) has extended its Family Day programming to weekends through September 29. Families can now participate in art activities any time during open hours. All art activities are included with admission. This month’s activities include Making Art with Fire: Fire Tiles and making Fire Prevention posters.
