The Fryderyk Chopin Society of Connecticut, Presenting Boris Berman

Sunday, September 24, 2017

Acclaimed pianist Boris Berman is well-known to audiences of nearly fifty countries. Born in Moscow, Berman studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, thus performing extensively throughout the Soviet Union. After then emigrating to Israel, and now to the United States, he has appeared with several orchestras and symphonies, been featured in books (including his own Notes from the Piano Bench and Prokofiev’s Piano Sonatas: A Guide for the Listener and the Performer), and has had music released through multiple music labels.

The Fryderyk Chopin Society of Connecticut is a classical music appreciation group that sponsors several classical music concerts throughout the year, showcasing the works of Fryderyk Chopin and other renowned composers. Founded by Polish pianist Slawomir Dobrzanski as a program of the Polish American Foundation of Connecticut, the Chopin Society has been presenting piano recitals by internationally acclaimed pianists from around the globe and promoting young artists since 1998.
