Join Ranger Amanda for this special tour that highlights the wonders and history of Weir Pond. Ranger Amanda will guide you on a leisurely walk to explore the beautiful historic meadows, forest, and pond that have inspired artists for over 135 years. You will be introduced to Julian Alden Weir, a world-class artist who lived and worked here from 1882 to 1919, and walk in his footsteps through the landscape that inspired his Impressionist masterpieces.
This gentle hike includes a stroll through the forest past historic stone walls and natural wonders, ending at Weir Pond, which was added by Weir in 1896 as a place for fishing and recreation. Dogs on leash are welcome.
