Lecture and Luncheon featuring Erik Larson

Hill-Stead Museum is pleased to host acclaimed author Erik Larson, who will speak on his latest book, Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania. Luncheon will be served by Tallulah’s Catering.

Erik Larson’s program, Theo’s Voyage: What Theodate Pope tells us about the last crossing of the Lusitania, and about the larger world in which she lived will serve to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the sinking of the Lusitania on May 5, 1915 and Theodate Pope’s miraculous survival. Larson will detail this historical event using Theodate Pope as a lens to focus his discussion.  The buffet luncheon will be begin at 12:30, followed at 1 pm by the lectture and book signing.
