Hill-Stead Museum is pleased to host acclaimed author Erik Larson, who will speak on his latest book, Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania. Luncheon will be served by Tallulah’s Catering.
Erik Larson’s program, Theo’s Voyage: What Theodate Pope tells us about the last crossing of the Lusitania, and about the larger world in which she lived will serve to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Lusitania on May 5, 1915 and Theodate Pope’s miraculous survival. Larson will detail this historical event using Theodate Pope as a lens to focus his discussion. The buffet luncheon will be begin at 12:30, followed at 1 pm by the lectture and book signing.
