Art Adventures: Suncatchers

Inspired by the Spring season, museum visitors will make their own suncatchers! Art Adventures is a drop-in program designed for children aged four and up and their families. This program is free with general admission and no advanced registration is required. Join us in the Cohen Education Wing.

Saturday, March 15th Join us in Hill-Stead’s historic Makeshift Theater on Saturday March 15th when professional dancers from Ballet Hartford will present Sleeping Beauty as an interactive ballet program for children 5-12. The children will experience an intro and movement class, learn some Sleeping Beauty choreography, see dancers perform excerpts from Sleeping Beauty and have an opportunity to ask questions. Join a museum educator for this introductory course on comic illustration. Students will learn the fundamentals of illustration, as well as how to consider storytelling in your art.
