Learn some easy recipes for refrigerator and quick pickles for your summer pantry! Pickling isn’t just for cukes, but we’ll certainly use some of them in addition to pickling beans. And, in honor of upcoming National Watermelon Day, you’ll also take home a recipe for pickled watermelon rinds! Our youngest artists, designers, and builders are invited step into the arts studio to have fun making art inspired by the River building and surrounding landscape! Think, play, create, and experiment with texture, form, line, color and space. This session is recommended for ages 1-5 and their caretakers.

This exhibition examines depictions of the American flag through 75 works by a diverse group of artists, beginning during WWI with Childe Hassam’s Italian Day, May 1918 and continuing to the present day, including a textile sculpture commissioned for the show from Maria de Los Angeles.
