This class is specifically designed for children ages 9-15, to enhance their artistic interests and talents. It is for this reason that we kindly ask parents and siblings to wait outside of the classroom for the duration of the program.

American Mural Project Extends Its Family-Day Programming To Weekends throughout September

The American Mural Project (AMP) has extended its Family Day programming to weekends through September 29. Families can now participate in art activities any time during open hours. All art activities are included with admission. This month’s activities include Making Art with Fire: Fire Tiles and making Fire Prevention posters. LAYERED COLOR WOODCUT/MONOTYPE

Examine the bold and direct capabilities of woodcut and monotype in combination with instructor Jim Lee. Print multiple layers of transparent inks and observe how images develop with lush color relationships and luminous surfaces. Ages 11 – 13 Heckscher WILD! MEMBERS ONLY It’s our program’s 10th anniversary! Junior WILD! Keepers was established in 2015, with the opening of our Heckscher WILD! exotic animal exhibit. The Junior WILD! Keepers program gives participants hands-on experience in the care, feeding, and enrichment of our exotic teaching animals.
