Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum Closure

Please note: Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum will be closed from February 12 through April 11, 2018 as we prepare for the upcoming exhibition, Making America: The Irish in the Civil War Era.

In 2018, Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University will send 50 pieces of art from its acclaimed collection home to Ireland for eight months. The works will go to The Coach House at Dublin Castle and West Cork Arts Centre in Skibbereen for the exhibition Coming Home: Art and the Great Hunger.

Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum will be closing on February 12^th, 2018, to prepare for the exhibition abroad. The museum will reopen on April 12^th with a new exhibit: Making America: The Irish in the Civil War Era.
