Spirited Market + Crafts:
Visit our auditorium to learn how diverse cultures preserve and remember their lost loved ones. From drinks, hair jewelry, taxidermy, and to making your own memento mori learn about the many ways we remember the ones we love!

Ghoulish Tunes:
Shake your bones to ghoulish tunes by Justin Keller of Skylark Music, from who will play tunes from the grave on the Gallery Mezzanine all night long. Justin Keller has been DJing parties since his Brooklyn days in the 2010’s. He currently runs Skylark Music, a successful wedding and event music business, while also teaching music appreciation and history at the College of Staten Island and Mercy University. He’s a music obsessive, dedicated to enriching lives through music, whether by moving people on the dance floor or inspiring them in the classroom. @skylarkmusicny

Victorian Tintype Photography with Brooklyn Tintype:
Get your very own tintype photo taken by Brooklyn Tintype! Schedule a time to have your picture taken and bring home your own tintype. You might get lucky and have a ghostly presence show up in your photo. Please sign up for your time and be aware a tintype photo will cost an additional fee.

Spirit Talking
Tarot Card Readings. Lee Star Field takes a playful approach to the tarot, gently guiding clients toward reconnecting with their true selves. They blend light-hearted exploration with emotional care to provide a safe space for self-discovery, helping guests tap into their inner wisdom and find clarity, all while embracing the magic of the moment.

Seasonal Treats
Drinks and snacks – Tuttimango will be at the Bruce offering a fruit based, Latin-inspired, cravings-satisfier, dessert, juice and smoothie bar. We create all natural, tasty and delicious smoothies and juices. As well as fruit based, Latin-inspired snacks such as Mangonadas, Fresas Con Crema, Crepes, and more!

Costume Contest:
We want to see you in your best dressed. Submit your costume for a competition to win free admission for two and two drink tickets to the next Late Night at the Bruce.

Costume and Event Guidelines:
All visitors are welcome to wear costumes to the Bruce Museum. The Bruce Museum is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all of our visitors. In that spirit, we do not allow costumes that perpetuate cultural appropriation, discrimination, or violence of any kind.

Please consult the following guidelines when selecting your costume:

  • No full face-covering Halloween masks
  • No large accessories or replica/toy weapons of any kind – you will be asked to return these to your vehicle or place them in a locker or the cloak room.
  • For the protection of the art and objects on display, please avoid wearing a costume which sheds excessively.

The Bruce Museum reserves the right to refuse entrance to the Museum if the costume is deemed inappropriate, as determined by Bruce Museum staff.

American Mural Project Extends Its Family-Day Programming To Weekends throughout September

The American Mural Project (AMP) has extended its Family Day programming to weekends through September 29. Families can now participate in art activities any time during open hours. All art activities are included with admission. This month’s activities include Making Art with Fire: Fire Tiles and making Fire Prevention posters.
