SUMMARY:Meet for Coffee at the Bruce: With Samantha Woodruff
DESCRIPTION:Where Culture and Conversation Percolate \nJoin us for an intimate morning conversation with Samantha Greene Woodruff\, author of two Amazon bestselling historical fiction novels. Enjoy coffee and light refreshments while hearing about Woodruff’s creative journey from media executive to acclaimed author. \nSpace is limited for this special Meet for Coffee event. Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Diane’s Books of Greenwich. \nThe Bruce Museum’s Meet for Coffee series brings creative voices to our community for engaging morning conversations in an intimate setting. \nAbout the Author \nSamantha Greene Woodruff transitioned from a fifteen-year career at Viacom’s Nickelodeon to pursue her passion for writing. After studying at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College\, she published her debut novel\, The Lobotomist’s Wife (2022)\, which became an Amazon First Reads selection. \nHer second novel\, The Trade Off (2024)\, has garnered impressive recognition as a Zibby Award winner in three categories (including Best Book for the History Lover)\, the Jewish Book Council’s January 2025 book club fiction pick\, and a finalist for She Reads Best Historical Fiction of 2024. \nWoodruff’s writing extends beyond novels—she contributed the personal essay “Jew-ish” to the USA Today bestselling anthology On Being Jewish Now (2024)\, edited by Zibby Owens. Her work has also appeared in Newsweek\, Writer’s Digest\, LitHub\, and other publications. \nA Greenwich\, Connecticut resident\, Woodruff balances her writing career with family life\, yoga practice\, and an admitted fondness for karaoke. The self-described “recovering MBA” brings both business acumen and creative insight to her literary work.
