The Mattatuck Museum announces the continuation of Memories @ The MATT, a collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter. Medical researchers have found that people with memory loss and early to moderate Alzheimer’s disease benefit from looking at historical artifacts and discussing art. The Memories @ The MATT program includes engaging gallery tours developed for people with early to mid-stages of dementia and their caregivers, followed by lunch and an art project inspired by one of the exhibiting artists. Memories @ The MATT takes place on the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
