SATURDAY, JULY 22 THROUGH SUNDAY, JULY 23
10AM – 4PM, 2-DAY WORKSHOP

Start painting expressively to create a plate with a wide range of tonal washes and velvety black passages using batches of gritty glue made by adding carborundum to liquid gel medium. Dig in with a dry point needle and start scraping the plate with a razor or steel wool to get all the marks imaginable, and then print with a traditional intaglio hand wiping method. Kate will demonstrate how to take this matrix and ink it in a variety of ways to fully realize your imagery using, color, glazes, viscosity printing and more. Demonstrations and personalized critiques will add to the collegial and supportive atmosphere throughout the weekend.
