Painting with Tools

We’ll tour our latest exhibition, Tools as Art: Work and Play, and then put some tools to work ourselves to create some art! Using hammers, brushes and other items, participants will put their skills to the test to make masterpieces to take home. Each ticket includes one adult & one child. Limited to 10 participant pairs. Studio Beginnings

Our youngest artists, designers, and builders are invited step into the arts studio to have fun making art inspired by the River building and surrounding landscape! Think, play, create, and experiment with texture, form, line, color and space. This session is recommended for ages 1-5 and their caretakers.

This exhibition examines depictions of the American flag through 75 works by a diverse group of artists, beginning during WWI with Childe Hassam’s Italian Day, May 1918 and continuing to the present day, including a textile sculpture commissioned for the show from Maria de Los Angeles.
