On Thursday, March 22 from 5:00-7:30 p.m., the Art Museum at the University of Saint Joseph celebrates the opening of their spring exhibition Paul Caponigro: The Polaroid Years (March 23-May 20) with a reception free and open to the public. This new exhibition features photographs taken between 1959 and 1968 when the artist was a consultant for Polaroid, testing each new black and white film product and camera. Fine art prints which illustrate Caponigro’s blend of technical mastery and deep spirituality are combined with rarely-seen test-prints and unique positive-negative pairs that give a sense of Caponigro’s day-to-day work at Polaroid. This exhibition was organized by art2art Circulating Exhibitions. For more information please call 860.231.5743, email [email protected], or visit www.usj.edu/artmuseum.
