Many have fled war, violence, and persecution, but are ensuring their voices are heard through song and in a safe space to make friends, acclimate to their adopted country, and hone their language skills. Having performed in venues such as the Kennedy Center, the National Cathedral, and the United Nations, Pihcintu (meaning “When we sing our voices carry far”) will bring their songs of peace and love to Hill-Stead.

American Mural Project Extends Its Family-Day Programming To Weekends throughout September

The American Mural Project (AMP) has extended its Family Day programming to weekends through September 29. Families can now participate in art activities any time during open hours. All art activities are included with admission. This month’s activities include Making Art with Fire: Fire Tiles and making Fire Prevention posters.
