Pihcintu is comprised of the voices of refugee and immigrant girls from 22 countries. Many have fled war, violence, and persecution, but are ensuring their voices are heard through song and in a safe space to make friends, acclimate to their adopted country, and hone their language skills. Having performed in venues such as the Kennedy Center, the National Cathedral, and the United Nations, Pihcintu (meaning “When we sing our voices carry far”) will bring their songs of peace and love to Hill-Stead.

Seating is limited and we strongly advise attendees to purchase tickets in advance. Any available tickets sold at the gate will be by credit card only.

Bruce Beginnings: Do you See a Duck?

Do you See a Duck? – Children and their caregivers will learn about ducks through Storytime, hands-on activities, and a craft. Children, ages 2.5-5, and their caregivers are encouraged to explore the museum’s collections and exhibitions through picture books and hands-on activities. Topics will rotate between art and science. This program is free with general admission, but space is limited. See the Visitor Service desk upon arrival to the Museum.
