No school? No problem! Join us for a fun morning of live animals, art projects, and exploration! Limited to 10 kids for a great small group experience. Must be 5 by the date of the program. Please pack a peanut/tree nut-free snack and reusable water bottle. Drop off at Heckscher Barn. Pick up at the Knobloch Family Farmhouse. On Thin Ice: Alaska’s Warming Wilderness

On Thin Ice: Alaska’s Warming Wilderness transports visitors to the Arctic to confront the startling impacts of climate change. Remarkable animals from the Bruce’s natural history collections are paired with scale landscape models that showcase Alaska’s diverse ecosystem. The installation highlights both subtle and dramatic shifts occurring across the Alaskan landscape, bringing attention to the impact of rising temperatures.

OIL PAINTING: EXPLORATIONS IN STILL LIFE

Open to all levels of experience, this workshop with instructor Sarah Paolucci offers an in-depth exploration of oil painting techniques and traditional still life. Develop foundational painting skills, including glazing and layering oil paints to create luminosity and depth.
