Immerse yourself in Spinning a Yarn, a dynamic movement experience created in collaboration between exhibiting artist Analia Segal and artist and performer David Thomson. Performing in a sculpted garment, created by Segal, made of plastic boning—a common material used in clothing for shaping the body, Thomson plays with the shifting modalities of place and relationship to an object tied to his body. This 60-minute performance confronts ideas of place and patterns of behavior. Following the performance, join Segal and Thomson at 2 pm for an informal discussion about their inspirations for the work, personal and shared processes, and overall collaboration.
