The celebration will culminate on Saturday, October 5, with Firefighter and Trailblazer: A Conversation with Melissa Bennett. Melissa’s story so inspired artist Ellen Griesedieck that she set out to portray Melissa on a massive scale, including her as part of the larger-than-life indoor mural at AMP. Ellen will talk with Melissa about the camaraderie and challenges of working alongside her firefighting team. This event is free. Registration is required. Doors open at 4pm to explore the mural exhibit before the talk at 5pm.
