Dinosaurs have not roamed the earth for millions of years, and the only indication of their existence is revealed by fossilized remains discovered centuries later. Yet, through the dedication of scientists and paleontological artists, we can envision these dinosaurs as if they still walk among us. The Bruce Museum will delve into how artists can reconstruct the likeness of these prehistoric creatures when all they have to guide them are research documents, and ancient, petrified remains. Join Leonard Jacobs, Bruce Presents Co-Producer, as he interviews Jason Brougham, a paleontological artist, and sculptor behind the Bruce Museum’s model Dilophosaurus (a dinosaur once native to North America), and Gabriel Ugueto, a Miami-based scientific illustrator, whose work will be featured in Apple TV’s Prehistoric Planet, streaming May 23, 2022.
