"Three M's: Mondrian, Matisse and Monet," An After-School Enrichment Program @ Fairfield University Art Museum, Bellarmine Hall | Fairfield | Connecticut | United States

The Fairfield University Art Museum is offering an After-School Enrichment Program for children in grades 1, 2 and 3 on 4 consecutive Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 pm April 6-27, 2017. “Three M’s: Mondrian, Matisse and Monet” is the brainchild of former elementary school teacher, JoAnn Nahabedian, who spent 24 years in the Scarsdale, NY school system. JoAnn introduced her students to art history through engaging and innovative units on Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Frank Lloyd Wright. Using an interdisciplinary approach, JoAnn demonstrated that art history can be presented to elementary school students in a meaningful and engaging way; she is thrilled to bring her expertise to the Fairfield University Art Museum! “The Three M’s” will introduce students to Mondrian, Matisse and Monet through books, an animated short film, and 3 art projects.

A minimum of 5 participants must enroll for the program to run.
