Learn all about the different types of turtles and tortoises who call the SM&NC home. Hang out with Wallace the Red-footed Tortoise and feed him a snack, watch our turtle races to see who wins, and paint your own turtle to take home! Tickets cover one child, plus materials for one painting. Children 7+ may be dropped off. One adult may attend for free with each child. Limited to 10 participants. Location to be announced. This exhibition examines depictions of the American flag through 75 works by a diverse group of artists, beginning during WWI with Childe Hassam’s Italian Day, May 1918 and continuing to the present day, including a textile sculpture commissioned for the show from Maria de Los Angeles.
