Take Part in Art

Weir Farm National Historic Site invites visitors to Take Part in Art during our Spring Open House Weekend on April 18 & 19, 2015.  Between 10 am and 4 pm visitors have the opportunity to experience first-hand the fun of plein air painting and sketching, while becoming a part of a unique and enduring tradition.  Art supplies, provided by the National Park Service, allow visitors to capture a view of the park, which they are invited to keep.  Pencils, pastels and paper will be available to use.

During the Open House Weekend the Historic Weir House, Weir Studio and Young Studio will be open for visitors to tour at their leisure.  Junior Ranger programs will also be available.  To preserve the park grounds, there will be no on-site parking during the Open House Weekend. All parking will be at nearby Branchville Elementary School, 40 Florida Road Ridgefield, CT 06877.  Free shuttle service will run continuously between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm each day.
