Weir Farm National Historical Park will offer a one-hour program focused on the women and art. This special Ranger program, presented by Park Ranger Amanda Thibault, will examine the evolving role of women in the arts, including the lives of the three generations of women that called Weir Farm home. These extraordinary women were scholars, humanitarians, homemakers, writers, historians, community organizers, and preservationists as well as artists. This educated, independent, and passionate group of women made a lasting impact on their community for over 135 years and ensured the preservation of Weir Farm’s legacy. Weir Farm NHP celebrates and honors the effort, creativity and vision of all women.
