DESCRIPTION:PURCHASE TICKETS\nIn conjunction with our Born in 1867: Theodate’s Generation exhibition\, we bring to you Women with Resolve. This 50 minute concert in Hill-Stead’s stunning Drawing Room honors the lives and stories of women composers born around the same time as Hill-Stead’s founder\, Theodate Pope Riddle (1867-1946). The repertoire includes the work of Amy Marcy Cheney Beach\, who was born the same year as Theodate and is featured in our exhibition.\nAhead of the concert\, there will be a reception in the Carriage Porch from 6:00 to 6:30 pm.\nRepertoire:\nClara Schumann (1819-1896) – Piano Trio\, 1846\nAmy Beach (1867 – 1944) – Romance for Violin and Piano\, 1893\nRebecca Clarke (1886 – 1979) – Dumka: Duo Concertante for Violin\, Viola\, and Piano\, c. 1940\nHenriëtte Bosmans (1895 – 1952) – String Quartet\, 1927\nPerformers:\nNetta Hadari\, violin and viola\nTina Hadari\, violin and viola\nSusan Robinson\, cello\nPi-Hsun Shih\, piano\nKatalin Viszmeg\, violin \nTickets\nAdults (nonmembers) | $30\nAdults (members)* | $25Children (12 and Under) | $10\n*current members will have the discount applied at check out\nHill-Stead Museum is grateful for support provided by The Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
