Woodpecker Wander

Discover the many species of woodpeckers that live here at the SM&NC. From the smaller Downy to our largest Pileated, almost every species of woodpecker in Connecticut can be found on our site. We’ll check our feeders and hit the trails in search of the sights and sounds of these amazing birds. Participants will also get to make their own suet for yard feeders at home!
