Founded as the Young Artists Exhibition in 1978, the Young Artists Showcase (known as YAA between 1992 and 2024) has given local artists aged eighteen and under the opportunity to have their artwork installed and displayed in a museum setting. The Young Artists Showcase is part of MMoA’s commitment to fostering creativity in the community, enriching children’s lives through art and art education.

The Young Artists Showcase is open to all artists aged 18 and under who reside or attend school in New London County or Westerly, RI.

Important Dates:

Artwork drop-off: Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, both from Noon – 4pm
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 3 from 1-3pm (Award Ceremony at 2)
Artwork pick-up: By appointment, June 2-4
