Did You Know? The Mattatuck Museum has a Public Yoga Class Every Tuesday!

December 31, 2015

Waterbury, CT… The Mattatuck Museum is pleased to continue its commitment to well-being @ The MATT with a weekly one-hour hatha yoga class in its galleries on Tuesdays at 5:45 p.m. Taught by a rotating schedule of top-notch local yoga instructors, classes are open to all and especially designed for beginner yogis. Yoga at the Mattatuck was conceived by the museum’s Director of Education, Stephanie J. Coakley in 2013. Coakley remarks, “In addition to my career as a long-time museum educator, I’m a 200-hour certified instructor in the Integral yoga method. Yoga and its spiritual philosophies are a big part of my life and I have been lucky enough to have a regular practice since 2001. I’m proud to have selected some of the area’s finest instructors to lead yoga classes at the Mattatuck Museum.”

Each class is $8 for museum members and $12 for non-members. Please bring your own yoga mat (or purchase one at the Museum) and wear comfortable clothing.
