FARMINGTON, CT – Hill-Stead is blooming with flowers and activity in April! Each of the following events is either free or included in regular museum admission:
Rooms in Bloom – April 2 and 3, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
For the first time ever… fabulous, fresh period floral arrangements created by guest designers will be on view throughout the first floor of the museum. Regular Admission Rates Apply, Free for Museum Members.
“I Do, I Do!” – April 2 – June 30
This special exhibit commemorates the 150th wedding anniversary of Ada Brooks to Alfred Pope and the 100th wedding anniversary of Theodate Pope to John Wallace Riddle. Wedding memorabilia, photographs and period clothing will be on display. Regular Admission Rates Apply, Free for Museum Members.
Engaged! A Special Event Showcase – April 3, 1 – 4 p.m.
Planning a wedding or other milestone occasion? Come meet a variety of vendors in the Makeshift Theater who can help with your event planning needs. Sample delicious food and Champagne, view bridal wear, meet photographers, and even get a mini-facial! Free Admission for ALL.
