On Sunday afternoon, October 25, the Silvermine School of Art Children’s Halloween Art Party will give kids a wildly creative afternoon of crafts, treats, games and a Halloween parade around the Silvermine campus.  All ages are welcome.

Silvermine School of Art Teachers Marta Kot, Karen Siegel, Megan Collins, Inez Andrucyk, Lisa Scroggins, Jon Puzzuoli and Christopher Crowe will guide them in creative mask making, clay pumpkin making, and glow-in-the-dark tee-shirt design and painting.  Kids will also paint a pumpkin-patch mural, join in a costume parade (though costumes are optional), and play a game in which children will create their own ghosts and pin them on a spooky tree to be painted on the wall.  For each child, there will be gooey treats, a Halloween movie, a goodie bag, and lots of Halloween art projects to bring home. This is always a popular event; please call or register online ahead of time ( so the Silvermine staff can have plenty of art supplies for each child’s projects. Children of all ages are welcome.  Tickets are $12 for members and $15 for non-members.  An adult must accompany children, but the adults enter free.  Call the Silvermine School of Art office 203-966-6668, ext 2, to register.
