Slater Memorial Museum to Host Holiday Shopping Party

The Friends of Slater Museum, the Norwich Free Academy Alumni Association Board of Directors and the NFA Cat Shack will present the 1st Annual Holiday Party and Shopping Night Thursday, November 12 in the Slater Museum Atrium from 5-7pm.

Celebrate the season at our first Holiday Party and Shopping Night. For one night only, Museum members and NFA Alumni receive 10% off all merchandise while enjoying refreshments, gallery tours, free gift wrapping and more at the Slater Museum Gift Shop and NFA Cat Shack. Registration is not required, but those who do will be automatically entered into a raffle to win a special gift basket! This will be the easiest and most fun shopping you’ll do all season!!

Located on the campus of the Norwich Free Academy, the Slater Memorial Museum and Converse Art Gallery are part of the Norwich Free Academy, 108 Crescent Street, Norwich 06360. Housed in an exemplary Romanesque Revival building (1886), the museum features full scale plaster casts of Egyptian, Archaic, Greek, Roman and Renaissance sculpture; fine and decorative art representing 350 years of Norwich History: Asian, African, Egyptian, and European art and ethnographic material. An exhibition in the magnificent Sears Gallery tells the story of William and Ellen Slater’s ’round-the-World cruise with family and friends on their custom yacht Eleanor in 1894. The museum annually presents up to six temporary exhibitions of contemporary art.
