Several rooms at Hill-Stead were decorated with the fashionable wall treatment of wood grain painting — in public rooms (such as the Dining Room shown above) and behind-the-scenes service areas.

Artisan Tim Eaton will discuss painted wood grain finishes and lead a demonstration showcasing current tools and techniques.  The program will include a look at Hill-Stead’s original wood grained spaces.

Enjoy wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres at a reception in Hill-Stead’s Makeshift Theater before the program.
