A Place Called Hope, a Rehabilitation and Education Center for Birds of Prey, presents a one-hour program at Hill-Stead with four different Birds of Prey found in Connecticut. Ambassador Birds will come out of the aviaries to share their beauty and stories of survival. Audiences get to meet two daytime hunters and two night-time hunters. Learn each bird’s story of survival and ways to lessen conflicts with the wildlife in your very own backyard.
This program is the result of a continuing collaboration between the Hill-Stead Museum and the Farmington Land Trust, a not-for-profit organization located in Farmington with the mission to protect open space in perpetuity through education, stewardship, acquisition, and advocacy.
