Join us for a private encore screening of the award-winning film The Artist & The Astronaut as we welcome our latest exhibition, Pat Musick: Our Fragile Home to the Bendel Galleries. Nationally recognized sculptor and mixed media artist, Pat Musick was married to Marine Corps Colonel Gerald P. (Jerry) Carr, one of 19 Group 5 astronauts selected by NASA in 1966. He was Commander of the Skylab 4 84-day mission. Their life is the subject of this captivating documentary, which had its Connecticut premiere here at the SM&NC this past May. The film’s writer & director, Bill Muench and composer, Todd Hobin, will host a Q&A session afterward.
Arrive early for a complimentary light supper and an opportunity to view the exhibition prior to showtime. Light Supper and Movie Popcorn incuded in ticket price.

Bruce Beginnings: Do you See a Duck?

Do you See a Duck? – Children and their caregivers will learn about ducks through Storytime, hands-on activities, and a craft. Children, ages 2.5-5, and their caregivers are encouraged to explore the museum’s collections and exhibitions through picture books and hands-on activities. Topics will rotate between art and science. This program is free with general admission, but space is limited. See the Visitor Service desk upon arrival to the Museum.
