Discover the many species of woodpeckers that live here at the SM&NC. From the smaller Downy to our largest Pileated, almost every species of woodpecker in Connecticut can be found on our site. We’ll check our feeders and hit the trails in search of the sights and sounds of these amazing birds. Participants will also get to make their own suet for yard feeders at home! Happy Hour Piano Series – Dan Ringuette

Each month, the Happy Hour Piano Series offers an eclectic mix of musical genres, showcasing the region’s wealth of talented pianists. Held on the fourth Fridays, from 5 to 7 pm, the piano series extends AMP’s exhibit hours. Admission is $6. A cash/credit bar offers wine, craft and domestic beer, and assorted beverages. American Mural Project Extends Its Family-Day Programming To Weekends throughout September

The American Mural Project (AMP) has extended its Family Day programming to weekends through September 29. Families can now participate in art activities any time during open hours. All art activities are included with admission. This month’s activities include Making Art with Fire: Fire Tiles and making Fire Prevention posters.
